History & strategy

Early Years
The Company was formed by Dr Harry Brunjes in 1995. Dr Brunjes was a clinician in Harley Street, having trained at Guy’s Hospital. Initially the practice of Dr Brunjes & Associates received medico-legal instructions from local law firms largely specializing in employment related injuries .
Critical Mass
Having built a national footprint and reputation as an independent provider of medical opinion with a focus on best practice, Premier Medical Limited established critical mass on winning the RAC contract in 2001. Subsequently, other large Legal Expense Insurance based contracts were won such as Groupama, AXA, MMA, Norwich Union Rehabilitation, National Farmer’s Union, Co-op, Helphire and DAS. In 2004 Premier Medical developed a strategic relationship with BUPA and Dr Brunjes was appointed Chairman of the Personal Injury Forum at BUPA UK Membership.
Corporate Activity
In 2006 Jason Powell joined the Company as Chief Executive Officer with a clear mandate to execute the strategic vision, to be the cost provider of high quality primary medical services across the UK.  Corporate activity has initially focused on consolidation within the Medico Legal sector and in 2008 included the following transactions:

Purchase of Medico Legal Reporting Limited Feb 2008
20% Investment in WARP Technologies Limited Jun 2008
Purchase of E-Reporting Group Limited Nov 2008
Purchase of Principle Medical Services Limited Nov 2009
PMG continues to grow organically having integrated operations into a single site in Ludlow.  New, long term contracts have been secured with Drive Assist, The AA, SAGA, Zurich and Budget Group.
