The PMG process is built around three fully integrated components: appointment booking, reporting and outcome data.
Appointment Booking
Appointment requests can be received electronically from customers using two-way XML (Extended Markup Language) messages. Each request is allocated an appointment based on dynamic service criteria such as distance travelled, time to appointment etc.
Alternatively, appointments can be made directly online using our LiveBook system. LiveBook allows our customers to book appointments remotely in real time as part of their own call handling processes.
PMG offers unparalleled coverage and availability across the UK, the average travel distance for appointments booked in 2009 was 5.75 miles. You can browse all our locations using the online clinic finder.
Reporting
The PMG reporting platform is based on WARP Technologies’ medical reporting system. Standard reporting templates are used to validate the completeness of information collected and ensures reporting consistency across the UK, irrespective of where the consultation is held.
A variety of bespoke reporting templates are available and can be customized in line with our customer’s own specific requirements.
Outcome Data
Each report includes a prognosis, diagnosis or outcome. These are coded using the International Classification of Disease schema version 9. This data can be used for data mining purposes providing socio-demographic or regional trends. This data has proved essential to our customers looking to optimize their own product offerings or processes.
Workflow Platform
All cases are managed using the PMG workflow platform, which has been developed within the Microsoft CRM Dynamics family of products. This ensures a high level of control over transactions processed through our Ludlow site guaranteeing turnaround times within agreed customer service levels.
Customer Integration
The Microsoft CRM Dynamics platform provides a high level of integration compatibility and support for electronic communication with our customers. As well as XML messaging PMG also offers a range of web services to easily enable the integration of functionality into customer systems.
Continuity, Governance and Resilience
PMG are working towards ISO 27001 accreditation, ensuring that our systems remain robust and resilient toward external risks.
