On the 11th January 2007, Dr. Harry Brunjes gave the presidential talk to the Brighton and Sussex Medico-Chirurgical Society.

Dr. Harry Brunjes had trained at Guys Hospital and had been a junior hospital doctor at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton. This included being the duty doctor the night of the Grand hotel bomb blast, 1984. Following five years in general practice Dr. Brunjes returned to Harley Street before starting Premier Medical in 1995. Dr. Brunjes opened his address by stating he was flattered to be returning to Sussex as President having been away for so long. Dr. Brunjes gave an entertaining talk titled ‘Science and Showbusiness’ which chronicled the challenges of trying to run two careers in tandem.
An audience of over two hundred old friends and colleagues were present, and Dr. Brunjes concluded his talk with a recording of him playing jazz piano with members of the National Jazz Youth Orchestra.
