One of Ludlow’s largest employers is on the move to the town’s new Eco Park.

Premier Medical will be hosting an official opening at its new premises in March 10 when Ludlow MP Philip Dunne and Dr Harry Brunjes, Chairman of Premier Medical, will cut the ribbon. Dr Brunjes said: “This a very exciting time for the company There are major opportunities ahead and the business will continue to expand. I am grateful for the support of the Ludlow community and, importantly, our excellent staff for the success and progress which has been achieved since our move to Ludlow.”

Dr Brunjes said the company’s commitment to Ludlow was established at the turn of the century and the need for a purpose-built office soon became apparent. He said: “This move has been eagerly awaited since this project was first concieved in 2002.”

Premier Medical is a provider of independent medical resource and opinion to major insurance companies, solicitors, trade unions, motoring organisations and professional bodies. The business originally started in Brighton in 1995 and began to develop in Ludlow over six years ago with five staff. The company has grown significantly in this time and has worked hard to re-locate and bring more work to Ludlow.

Dr Brunjes said: “This strategy has been achieved due to the high quality of staff that the company has managed to recruit in the area. The company now employs circa 100 people in Shropshire.”

The formal office opening will take place between 4pm and 6pm on March 10 and will be followed by a black tie gala dinner at Stokesay Court.

Work started last week on phase two of the multimillion pound office and business development at the Eco Park.

Shrewsbury-based developer Sherpa Properties has started building a 27,000sq office development at the site, off The Sheet.
