Health merger sewn up
Britain’s biggest medical report company has been formed with the £35 million merger of Premier Medical and Medico Legal Reporting, backed by Nomura Private Equity and 3i.
The enlarged Premier Medical Group, which will have Nomura as its major
shareholder, will provide more than 100,000 insurance and employment medical reports used in accident and injury insurance claims.
The company will have more than 200 employees and plans to expand into other areas of primary care, such as private GP consultations, rehabilitation and
occupational health services.
Adviser Livingstone Partners said it was the beginning of consolidation in a niche market that was growing rapidly.
