Triage & Screening
Premier’s team of triage nurses are responsible for the initial assessment and screening process of rehabilitation clients, and respond to any questions of a clinical nature that our clients may have. Any complex issues are referred to Premier’s Medical Director.
Premier Rehabilitation, also offers a validated telephone screening process for patients who require early assessment for possible treatment requirements following an accident. This involves the following components:
- Telephone-based triage by a PM clinician (using a bio-psycho social model).
- Follow up support, encouragement and advice.
- Provision of educational literature to support the individual.
- Physiotherapy assessment and treatment where appropriate.
- Escalation for further intervention / investigation if appropriate.
Depending upon the severity of the injuries a number of pathways are available to the injured person and the most appropriate one is discussed, agreed and monitored throughout the process by our clinical team.
